Congratulations to the Marching Lancers on continuing our tradition of excellence throughout another great season! They have earned a Championship Average Score (CAS) of 84.975. This has the Lancers with the third highest CAS in flight II heading into finals week. It is also our highest CAS ever.

The Marching Lancers will be performing at the Michigan Invitational Tournament on October 3, 2009.  This competition is among the longest continously held contests in the MCBA and annually awards the Governor's Trophy traveling trophy to the highest scoring band in any class.  The Marching Lancers have won this honor two of the past three years.

The Marching Lancers First Contest of the Season!

The Novi Invitational - September 26, 2009

Congratulations to the Marching Lancers on an outstanding first performance of the competition season.  The Lancers performed their show "Going Through the Motions"  for an ethusiastic crowd and appreciative judges.  The band finished second in flight II with a score of 73.75 and had the third highest score of the day in any class.  The Lancers were also awarded the Spirit Trophy by the hosts from Novi.

Congratulations to the band on a great start to their fall and good luck as they travel to the Michigan Invitational Tournament on October 3, 2009.

The LCHS WIND SYMPHONY "A"mazing once again at the MSBOA State Band and Orchestra Festival! The L'Anse Creuse High School Wind Symphony has not only qualified for the Michigan Band and Orchestra Association State Festival an incredible fourteen years in a row, they have succeeded by once again earning straight Superior ratings from each judge.  That is twenty-eight festival performances without a II from any judge! The Lancer Wind Symphony performed in the highest possible class ("AA") receiving straight "A" grades in every area from each of the four judges!  A stellar tribute to the diligence, hard work and artistry of each member.
